From UK Development to Dubai Opportunity

With over 25 years of experience in property development in the UK, I have built and delivered more than 100 homes across a wide range of projects. That journey gave me a ground-up understanding of construction, materials, cost control, and the realities of running a property business in one of the most challenging markets in the world.

The UK is a tough environment in which to scale and grow sustainably. Over time, that reality led me to look further afield, and ultimately to Dubai — a city defined by ambition, long-term vision, and opportunity. Today, I am transitioning into my role as a Dubai property investment advisor, bringing decades of hands-on development experience to investors looking to enter or expand in this market.

What differentiates me is that my background extends far beyond theory or sales. I understand construction at every level: how materials affect durability and value, how margins are really made, and where risks can quietly emerge. Having spent 25 years in business myself, I also understand the pressures investors face — the responsibility that comes with deploying capital and the importance of making informed, disciplined decisions.

Dubai is also where I intend to undertake renovation projects personally, as renovation and value creation remain a true passion of mine and an area where experience can make a tangible difference.

My relationship with Dubai, however, has not been without challenge. I experienced significant financial losses during the 2008 financial crash here — an experience that gave me a firsthand understanding of how devastating poor timing and misplaced confidence can be for investors. That period fundamentally shaped how I operate today. I treat my clients’ money as if it were my own and only ever advise on opportunities I would personally invest in.

The fact that I am back in Dubai now speaks volumes about my belief in what is being built here today. The market has matured, regulation has strengthened, and the economy continues to show resilience and global appeal. Dubai is a place that attracts like-minded individuals, supports growth, and genuinely celebrates success earned through hard work.
